I use 9.10(gnome)

I have select what you have mention, the check box of "Allow other users
 to create and delete files in this folder'
but I still get the message as "my file has been modified outside"
Is there status in ubuntu 9.10 can let me see who use samba connect to
Ubuntu and what kind of rights he gets, r, x or w?
