Are "system[76]" Ubuntu Desktop Computers Good?

Only 3.5 years old?  One of the computers I have is a Dell computer and it runs 
Unbuntu very well (and you could say quite fast).   Admittedly, I have upgraded 
  much of it to include 2 hard drives and 4 GByte of RAM but I have had no 
problems at all.

By the way, I am not a light duty computer user but also not a heavyweight. 
(You could describe me as a medium weight power user) If your computing use 
requires the ultimate computer, get a new computer but maybe you need to look at 
FULLY upgrading your present computer.  (Probably what I said is heresy to many 
computer geeks, but at least look at upgrading first.)
