Are "system[76]" Ubuntu Desktop Computers Good?

That or find someone local to build a custom machine for you. When I had
mine built, he did the job about as cheap as I could have. Plus, when
the power supply immediately went south, it wasn't ME coming up with
shipping and handling to fix it. I figure I came out ahead in the deal.
It's still running smooth 3 years later, although it's getting long in
the tooth.
And, I got a quote before I told him I didn't want Windows on it. He
merely had to order a hard drive for my machine without the pre-install
already on it. Of course I expected the final bid to be that much
cheaper and it was. Turned out the guy ran Ubuntu on his own machine at
home, Ric
