Just to add a bit of perhaps related info, in the hope it might add a
clue...
I sometimes get a 'popup' 'window' inside, and over, a window
adjacent, and under, the one I am working in. It almost always happens
with two overlapping konq windows. I haven't found a way to get rid of
it directly, but it eventually goes away with enough window
open/close/move operations. A pain, but not that severe since it does
go away. The 'popup' contains completely unrelated stuff, and
sometimes just a colored area.
Dunno if it helps, but there it is...
