Grub not working

Okay, then.
Boot into 10.04, open up a terminal.
sudo apt-get install grub-pc
If there is any further instructions, like telling you to
"upgrade from grub-legacy", then in the terminal
sudo upgrade-from-grub-legacy
When completed, at terminal
sudo grub-install /dev/sda
If you still have problems, reinstall for the third time,
this time making sure you install the grub to "sda"
