Correct, but for someone in the situation the OP was in, wanting to
re-install but without separate home partition, it is a good way to
go.  Also not everyone thinks that a separate home partition is
necessarily a good idea.  Myself for example.  Having flicked
backwards and forwards over the years I have come the conclusion that
(for me) it is not worth the (slight) extra hassle.
