Check out DraftSight. It's a clone of AutoCAD-LT.  A bit tricky to get
working, but I got it working on Mint 17 without much fuss, and then
on PCLOS, with some ingenious work from a contributor to the
PCLOS Forum. If it works on Mint, it should work on Ubuntu OK.
