I guess I am just a stubborn old man. I never gave Windows any network
access because I disagree with it's TOS saying MS can access my computer
and I can't prevent them from doing so. It is still on the hard drive
just in case I ever sell the laptop or give it to one my kids. But I
guess if trying a LiveCD of the latest Ubuntu does not fix my problem I
will need to use Windows just to see if I have a hardware problem.
