wireless not connecting all of a sudden

Hi I've got ubuntu 12.04 on my netbook.  All of a sudden I can not connect
to my router- I can on the same computer uusing Lubuntu.  i turned the
router on an off.
I uninstalled and reinstalled gnome network manager to no avail.  It see
the router but just will not connect.  This started two days ago when it
began to no longer store the password.  This connection has been working
for over a year.

Any other suggestions?
