wireless not connecting all of a sudden

What do you mean by no longer storing the pwd?  If you mean that it
keeps popping up asking you for it then that is just what happens if
it cannot connect, it pops up the password box, presumably on the
assumption that the password is wrong.  Have you double checked the
password you are entering by going to the lubuntu boot and re-entering
the password there, rather than just letting it connect automatically?
