New-install problem.

BTW, before reformatting your SDA, try this to clean it up before anything:

"dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=1024 count=1000000"

This command will write 1G of "0s" starting from the very first bit of your
HD, then, try to install you S.O. again...

Take care with that `dd` command! It will wipe out any data you might have
on /dev/sda!

Also, "grub" package is obsolete by now, grub2 is the new version (probably
already installed). You can try the commands like "update-grub" and
"grub-install /dev/sda"...

I'm already using Ubuntu 14.04 (beta is fine for me), it is very good!
