Also a good suggestion. lubuntu is a very good lightweight desktop for
older/lower-horsepower machines. I have a 14 year old laptop that
originally came with Win98 on it. It runs lubuntu. Not that I use it
much these days but it works just fine. And beats scrapping it for no
good reason other than the Windows OS has long since passed it by.
