lots and lots of stuff about having hacked around the proper upgrade

you didnt tell us)

well, you are constantly accusing the software to have caused the
situation despite having proven yourself (with logs) and being told by
technically knowledgeable people that it is the other way around ...
...yet you refuse to accept the facts...
your hardware error exposed an additional aspect of a bug that actually
caused colin to add an improved fix here, the bug itself is not the
cause of your breakage and the upgrade (if you didnt massively break it
by whatever you did above) should properly finish once you solve the
hardware situation.

well, it is also you who (i now assume this) still has not unplugged
the disk that due to its hardware error most likely slowly eats the
data on it despite being told multiple times to do so, an unpowered
disk can not kill data on it even if it has a hardware error...
to go back to the meme you mentioned somewhere above in the thread ...
that parrot is dead !
the longer you wait with unplugging the broken device the more you put
your data on it at risk, it is that simple.
