can't find asus wifi after wiping W10 for mint

I have an ASUS motherboard in a system that I am very happy with.  So I got an
ASUS laptop, big mistake, it is not expandable, I could not believe I could not
add more memory than the 4gb that is installed. For what it is worth It does
run Ubuntu without any problems.
