Lenovo Thinkpad X230 Tablet/Laptop questions

Hello Mr. Heller.
I used to have a Lenovo laptop myself, not the model in question, and Ubuntu desktop and all flavors worked ok with it. The person wanting to do this can try out the live session before doing a permanent installation.
