How to get rid of bad chrs?

It seems to be your best bet. Also, you can do it in bits and pieces
unless you're in a hurry to get it done. I'd do a few photos, set it
aside, and then come back. It took me several weeks to get them all
the way I wanted them to be, but it was never overwhelming since I
did it in nibbles.

I do, too and I haven't, either. If you do, please post a message
about it in this mailing list.

Thanks. I've noted it in case I need it again. For the moment, I'm
being good and not creating duplicates. It was years of bad practices
that I had had to clean up in the past.

That's probably a good thing, although you'll likely eventually reach
the "healthy respect" phase with a dollop of the "suspicious eye" as
a happy medium between those two poles.
