Qt on Xubuntu 20.04

I just tried to install this from the instructions on
https://www.osradar.com/install-qtcreator-on-ubuntu-20-04-18-04/ and
it got errors towar the endof the install.

No examples were installed and it's hard to go through the examples
and tutorials without something.

Basic commands I used were:

sudo apt -y install build-essential
sudo apt -y install qtcreator
sudo apt -y install qt5-doc qt5-doc-html qtbase5-doc-html qtbase5-examples

I am operating on the assumption that qt will help me in doing
development using ostree, git and cross-referencing capabilities with
downloaded sources.

Suggestions anyone?  I haven't usd qt in over 10 years and don't
remember anything about how it works.

If there's a better IDE for linux, I'm all ears.  I have codeblocks
and code (VS for linux), neither of which is helping me much.
