Hi Liam,

I do _not_ trust Microsoft.

While in my experiences Windows is crap, some of Microsofts software
in my experiences is very good.

On my iPad I've got several Microsoft apps installed.

"Lens"
is for free as in beer and really good to take photos of documents on
paper, if no scanner is available. A combination of a decent camera app
and a decent graphic app won't be that comfortable to use for this
purpose. I'm using it a lot.

"Translate"
is for free as in beer, but other free as in beer apps are way better
for this purpose. I'm not using it, but keep it just in case.

"Math"
a calculate that can be used in writing by hand is for free as in
beer and for my purposes and handwriting it works better than an app,
that is also installed, but that does cost money. Actually I'm still in
favour of other calculators, free as in beer, too, as well as with
costs, that require to type, hence I'm not using it. It's just in case
installed.

"Edge"
is more or less equal to "Chrome", for free as in beer and I'm in
favour of its look over the bubble gum look of "Chrome". I'm using
"Edge" but also "Firefox" a lot, as well as other browsers.

"Seeing AI"
is for free as in beer. While it's not perfect, it's quite good in
reading aloud fine print. Anyway, I prefer reading glasses, but it
might be handy, if no reading glasses are at hand. Actually I only
tested it, but never used it.

Apart from "Chrome" I don't have that much installed from Google.
Probably only "Snapseed" from Google is installed, too. It's for free
as in beer, but I'm using quite expensive graphic and photo apps, so
it's an unused app. It's likely useful for users with simpler needs and
less skills. Google claims "Snapseed is a complete and professional
photo editor". A comment on this is superfluous.

YMMV!

Regards,
Ralf
