graphics problems with Focal(20) apparently out of date or missing stuff

Its a Dell Precision apparently with intel chip set although I was hoping to find
that in /sys or /proc somewhere :)

What make/model of computer?

What GPU?

Have you checked your system firmware is current? If not, do so, and
update it if it is not.
