I was going to say, please bottom post on the list… but then I saw
that you're using Hotmail, and if you're using the web interface to
it, I don't think you can. You can, of course, point Thunderbird at a
Hotmail account and it will happily talk to it and it will let you do
proper quoting. Me personally, I consider that really really
important, but your mileage may vary.
You shouldn't need any drivers for an Intel graphics chipset. There
shouldn't be anything to install; Intel does all of its driver
development in public, and the Linux display stack on any mainstream
distribution should just install and work on any Intel GPU.
To work out what GPU you have, you need to be very much more specific
about what model of Dell Precision it is. Make, model, year, processor
model, et cetera.
And I stand by my point about checking for firmware updates.
Are you using the GNOME desktop? If you are, on your login screen, you
should have a choice of whether to use the Wayland display server or
plain old X11. Whichever one you are using, try the other one. You may
find that your problems just go away.
