Can I no longer install python packages using pip3?

Ah, neat, thank you!

I can live with the possibility that python packages *might* get
confused.  I only use pip when a python library is unavailable from
the Ubuntu repositories and, so far, over quite a few years nothing
has come to bit me.  So, continuing to do things as before seems a
pretty reasonable option to me.
