Hi,
much likely you don't need Windows, see
https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-zbook-15-g3-mobile-workstation/8693763/document/ish_4123786-2338478-16
for those two options. One probably does the job:
- "Update the BIOS from within the BIOS"
HP provides a BIOS update option through the F10 Setup application.
Turn on the computer, and then press f10 repeatedly. The BIOS
Setup utility is displayed.
Select Check HP.com for BIOS Updates.
Follow the on-screen instructions to check whether a BIOS update
is available.
f a BIOS update is available, follow the on-screen instructions
to update the BIOS."
This likely requires DHCP.
- "Update the BIOS manually from a USB flash drive (outside of Windows)
[snip]"
I just don't get a download link for the BIOS.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers ->
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/laptops ->
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-zbook-15-g3-mobile-workstation/8693763
The last link doesn't lead to a BIOS update.

Ralf
