Failure installing Ubuntu 24.04 on an USB stick

That makes sense and is well worth doing.

I'd verify the ISO first. If it fails the verification, it's most
likely the culprit and you won't need to replace the USB stick. Just
download the ISO again, verifying the new one, and try the
installation again with a known-good ISO. Here's hoping that that's
the cause.
