Mouse problems with 5.15.0-106 kernel?

Yesterday my (USB, wireless, optical) mouse stopped working
consistently (jiggling frantically it would sometimes make it work for
a few seconds, then stop again). I tried changing the battery, then
tried another (USB, wired, optical) mouse, then remembered that I had
rebooted after updates including a new kernel version (5.15.0-106).

I rebooted into 5.15.0-105 and haven't had any problems since.

Anyone else having this issue?

What's the command to keep apt/aptitude from removing the working -105
kernel version packages automatically until I verify that a newer
version doesn't have this problem?
