will this break the existing integration of subversion into Apache?

This server is used as a backup target from another site by doing an svn sync
every night via Internet.
This was set up 6-7 years ago and I don't remember how it was hooked into
everything. But it uses Svn over ssl as can be seen on my router's virtual
server list. This cannot be allowed to fail...

The web access on Apache must also still work and I wonder what happens if I
remove subversion as opposed to upgrading it?
It is somehow integrated with Apache and is accessed via SSL on the router too.
