PS:
The child lock with the password of two pressed buttons for a few
seconds also only protects the running programmes from being changed.
This means that small children cannot change the programme from 30°C to
60°C and so on, but they can still put a cat in the washing machine that
is not running, close the door and drown the cat and spin it.
Password protection must be appropriate. The OP has forgotten his
password! Do you think the OP would not have forgotten a randomly
created password like LD3N2YODMS6UHS2HA5JMCUFYCY? Your tips miss the
point by light years. Liam's tip is correct and works most of the time,
but even Liam's recipe has its limits because sometimes there are
password requirements that put a stop to the whole thing.
