The techniques are real, but the point (at least of mine) was a joke.
Seriously though:
A super-long, super-complicated password is IDEAL, as long as you DON'T
have to remember it. For many years now I have not had to remember more
than one or two passwords. I use computer-generated random strings;
they are securely stored and retrieved when I need them.
Anyone serious about password security is doing something similar. If
you can remember your password, it is probably crackable, not unique,
or both. Or you are Rain Man :-)
