Then I think you'll really enjoy Geany. Its fully-customizable
"Build" menu recognizes the type of file you have open and changes
for each file-type. I've got my build menus set up so that if I'm
coding in Bash or Python or HTML or Markdown or [insert file-type
here], I can run the file at any time with the click of a toolbar
button (or menu entry or the press of an F-key, if either of those
are your style) and Geany will take the appropriate action for that
file-type. It's just glorious.
