ShaderError: error: Exceeded max TGSI temps (33/16)

Hi All

Odd one (I think)

I get this 

ShaderError: error: Exceeded max TGSI temps (33/16)

when trying to get to options/settings or load of a saved game, but game plays 
okay otherwise, until a save or load is needed or a setting change (like turn 
off music :->)

It ran on Jammy (22.04) on this box
It ran on Nobal (24.04) when  first upgraded from Jammy on this box
It stopped running on Nobal (24.04) after a later update / full=upgrade on this 
box
It did not (IIRC) / does not not run on Oricular on this box
It's 64 bit so not tried with Win7 on this box
It does run on an updated/full-upgraded Nobal on my Macbook-Pro (circa 2016)
