Safe to say, our customers didn't have much money.

We couldn't afford a source code control system so I ended up writing one,
called SCHOLAR. It was incredibly primitive, consisting of DOS batch files,
C programmes and a tiny assembly language programme.

I wouldn't inflict it on people for use these days.
