Well OBVIOUSLY as soon as I asked for help it would work the next time
I tried it. I have (sadly) no idea why, but when I blew the installed
container away and re-created it, everything worked fine.

Remember kids: Turn it off and on again!

PS: Now I can't install snaps on it (how I do loathe snaps).
