reboot ubunutu/flashback restore/get back to same desktop/open apps

hi.

if i'm running ubuntu 24.04, and flashback, is there a way to restore
the desktop/apps that were running prior to a shutdown?

I'm interested in how to get back the processes that were running if
the system crashed/

Or at least as much as possible --  term running (not what may have
been running on the term) app names that were running, etc.
