Hello all,

I didn't reply earlier because between the keyboard problem and other
unexpected events at home the last ten days were more hectic than
usual, but thanks to all who answered.

I managed to get by with the xmodmap trick for one day, and then I
finally found and could installed a spare key that came with the
keyboard, so everything works without custom settings again.

Also, since someone mentioned it... I *do* have a spare keyboard and
mouse around just for cases like this. Problem is, when that key broke
they were temporarily not accessible, due to some decluttering going
on at home in the same days...

THanks again, back to typing now.

Marco
