Power loss behaviour - is there some basic action?

Of course if something else in your house (microwave oven,
fridge/freezer perhaps) trips the ring main when you're away there's
nothing you can do. Therefore, when the electrician came to replace my
consumer unit as part of my solar installation I got him to put in a
spare breaker. That breaker now supplies a dedicated power socket for
my server, Ethernet switch, router etc so everything else in the house
can trip but my server and internet connection will remain powered.
