I'm not using the two modems at the same time. I can ssh via the
nighthawk to and from the raspberry pi but not via the tp-link in either
direction. I'm still experimenting.

The tp-link is not connected to the NBN at the moment because I'm
waiting for a DSL wall socket plate. I can establish a wireless
connection to my laptop and a wireless as well as an ethernet connection
to the raspberry pi.

An hour later. The tp-link has both 2.4Ghz and 5 Ghz wireless so I tried
an ssh connection via 5Ghz and this time and all is well. I tried a
2.4Ghz connection again and this also worked. I'm not sure why I was
initially have trouble, no doubt finger trouble on my part. I had also
updated and upgraded the Raspberry pi's OS in the meantime. Of course, I
had to rename the known-hosts file so that I can use the new modem
without warning messages.

Anyway, all's well the ends well.

Now, I have to figure out how to read the USB drive that's plugged into
the tp-link modem.
