That still doesn't make sense :-)

However, I'm now wondering if the nighthawk and the TP-Link are
interfering with each other. Both will be handing out IP addresses to
wireless clients, and both will be telling clients they are the default
route to the Internet.

Maybe tell us how your network is arranged, and why these two devices
are both in it.
