Good Morning,

I got a message that CHROME was out of date. A popup window appears in
te upper right hand corner that contains the word UPDAET. I clicked on
that and a download window appears however the download fails to do any
thing but download. IT DOES NOT INSTALL.

I am running Ubuntu 24.04 lTS. everything else is working fine. Chrome
still works, for now. About pops up a window containing:

Chrome logo
Google Chrome

THE NEXT LINE IS PRECEED BY A BLUE CIRCLE WITH A CHECKMARK.
Nearly up to date! Relaunch Chrome to finish updating. Incognito windows
won't reopen. THIS IS FOLLOWED BY A BUTTON WITH A THE WORD RELAUNCH IN IT.

Clicking that button appears to do nothing except change the active
window to another instance. I use four instances of the browser, each on
a different desktop, there are four desktops, open at all tines. Each
works as expected.

Version 94.0.4606.71 (Official Build) (64-bit)

What have I done wrong? How do I proceed from here.

Thanks,
Jay
