Ubuntu 25.04 internet activity when desktop is idle

I recently upgraded to Ubuntu 25.04 and have noticed internet activity when
I have no apps running and my desktop is idle. I would like to know what is
going on in the background to create data transmission both reading and
writing (although in a very small amount)
