What does this while bar mean?

Hello.

I was busily working away at my laptop when it (perhaps might have ?)
crashed when snap decided firefox needed to be updated. I get nervous about
snap and firefox because I recently reinstalled Ubuntu when firefox failed
to load after snap attempted to update it. I don't know why this happened.

Is the attached graphic of a white bar above my firefox icon from the
sidebar an indication of anything to do with firefox and snap?

Will it go away?
