according to

/etc/xdg/autostart/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1.desktop

this is run

/usr/lib/polkit-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1

BUT if I manually run

/etc/xdg/autostart/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1.desktop

open as root works again, so why does 

/etc/xdg/autostart/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1.desktop

not actually "autostart"
