Given that ElementaryOS is not Ubuntu and like LinuxMint replaces *a
lot* of packages with their own, you should really rather cotact the
Elementary support.

They particularly replace a lot GUI related pieces with their own self-
breeded packages which can indeed cause breakage we can not really
track down in normal Ubuntu support without knoiwing what they patch in
their packages and how they configure the system in non-Ubuntu ways ...
