Microphone not working when using Google Meet.

Nup. Didn't work. I just got someone to try and talk to me over Meet, and I
had only removed the permission to use the microphone on Google Meet -
that's why the microphone image on the status notifications disappeared.

I think the problem is outside of Google Meet and Firefox; it has something
to do with my OS or, if not that, my hardware.

How can I eliminate Ubuntu as a possible cause?
