key bounce???

Hi.

Have an hp 17-300p laptop, with the center "touch" display in the
centre of the laptop, under the keypad.

I'm having a serious (1st world problem) issue, in that I find when
I'm typing, and hitting the "space bar" I consistently get "double"
spaces instead of "single spaces"...

Has anyone else seen this kind of action on their laptops? What was
your solution? Did you simply disable the "touchpad" area? How?

I know I could simply attach a usb keyboard, but then I'd have to
order a multiple USB connector, since the laptop has a single usb
port.
