apt upgrade full-upgrade or dist-upgrade, what to use?

I am on Ubuntu server 24.04.3 LTS

About a year ago I changed my habits to use:

sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade

but now I see in a post here use of dist-upgrade and I don't know the difference
between them (are there still other variations?).

So what should be used in a regularly used (weekly) update command to keep my
system current? I don't like automatics here, so I run my update script
manually.
