Question about file transfer to Android device

Bret, I have a Moto G 5G 2024 (Costco special) Android 15 phone. It
works fine for mounting as a USB device in Ubuntu 24.04.3 (sorry,
don't know about 22.x, I used Xubuntu before and this method also
worked for me then).

I did have an issue before with this phone, but it was due to a few
faulty cables (one was a charging-only cable, and one was just
flaky/poor quality).

I'm far from an expert, by my process has always been:

1. Connect the phone via USB
2. Pull down on the menu at the top and change from USB charging to
File Transfer
3. There's sometimes authentication on the phone (password/touch)
4. Click on the phone on the Ubuntu bar and burrow down to whatever
directory you want (the phone appears at stage 1, but until you've
done 2 and 3 you can't mount it as a USB device.

Then it just acts like a normal USB device where I can burrow down
into whatever folders, or use something like filezilla to transfer.
