The fact that you can use a mouse to resize a column in the GnuCash register
to 0 pixels in size, making it completely disappear, and there does not
appear to be any way, in the UI, to bring it back, necessitating a dive into
the data files, looking for a specific needle in the haystack, and manually
editing the data file to restore the column and make it visible.

Probably not, for the reasons explained when someone tries to report a bug
to GnuCash's bugzilla. TLDR: account creation is disabled due to bot abuse.

No. I reproduced this on Fedora, which ships 5.14
