GNUCash problem with missing register columns ** FIXED**

I cannot replicate that.  When I collapse a column it still draws as
two adjacent lines (so appears as a thick line). The right hand one
can easily be picked up and dragged right.  Even if the rightmost
column is collapsed then the line can still be picked up and dragged
right (out of the window) to resize it.  It can be a little tricky
getting things back the right size, the technique to use is to
increase the size of one that is too small and then reduce the size of
one that is too large.

Can you describe exactly what to do to get in the locked situation?
Make a copy of the .gcm file first and afterwards close gnucash and
restore the file to get back to where you were.
