Hey Bill,

Have you tried an alternate install disk as well on your Dell?

If that doesnt work, you can just easily upgrade your 606 to 710 via command line.
Unfortunately, I dont know that code you will have to edit anymore, but I know its a possibility.
Perhaps someone on the Ubuntu forums, or someone in this mailinglist knows that answer?
