No, it makes perfect sense. If you configure your mail client to thread 
your e-mails, you'll see that mailing lists are very definitely a 
conversation.

Top posting does not make sense at all. If you've always top posted, 
then saying that bottom-posting does not make sense is like those folks 
who criticise Linux for not being Windows, because they're used to Windows.

I used to send out a mail about once a year, reminding everyone of the 
mailing list etiquette that started before I even joined this mailing 
list. I haven't done it recently, and I can see it has been missed.
