When you install Ubuntu, do not let it automagically set up your hard 
drive.  Manually create the partitions, with the first one being 200meg, 
and mounted at /boot.  You can also make it ext2 for a slight boot speed 
increase.  The the rest mounted as / and a swap partition somewhere.
